Study of Hair Protection Effect according to the Application Treatment of Hair Permanent Wave Treatment

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of permanent wave treatment on hair damage mitigation according to the application time of manufactured treatment, using the Clerodendron trichotomum extract. As a result, the tensile strength of Control Group C was 95.16 ¡¾ 4.06 gf/§®2 and the tensile strength of BP2 was 128.56 ¡¾ 8.72 gf/§®2, which was the highest value. Also, the tensile strengths of B1 and B2 were 124.31 ¡¾ 8.75 gf/§®2, 124.31 ¡¾ 12.69 gf/§®2 that were the lowest values. The difference between BP2 and B1 and between BP2 and B2 was 4.25 gf/§®2. The hair thickness of Control Group C was .0263 ¡¾ .0011 §® and the hair thickness of BP2 was .0308 ¡¾ .0006 §®, which was the highest value. The hair thickness of B2 was .0277 ¡¾ .0008 §® that was the lowest value and the difference between BP2 and B2 was .0031 mm. Compared to Control Group C, open cuticles and dropped cuticles were hardly found in BP2 and hair was smooth and glossy. In relation to fine structure of hair, also, the hair height of BP2 was 549.89 ¡¾ 8.161 §¬ and the hair height of B1 was 430.64 ¡¾ 6.101 §¬, which was the lowest value. The difference in height between BP2 and B1 was 119.25 nm. When components of sulfur were analyzed using EDS, the sulfur content of BP2 was 12.05, which was the highest value and the sulfur content of B1 was 9.92 that was the lowest value. The difference in sulfur content between BP2 and B1 was 2.13.
